Truly Dangerous Drivers

Drivers who get intoxicated enough to head the wrong way down the freeway are obviously hazards to everyone around them. Unfortunately, as the recent accident shows, it’s sometimes extremely difficult for drivers to react in time so that they can steer clear of the driver causing the problem. If you find yourself in such a situation, there may very well be little that you can do, but there are some basic techniques that may save you.

Look for an exit route from the vehicle’s path. Concentrate on that exit route and look where you want to go. This basic rule applies to any time you’re behind the wheel. Wherever you’re looking is where you’re going to head, so concentrate on where you’re going and not on the car heading toward you.

Because there are instances where there’s nothing that somebody could do to avoid being in a crash, especially in a case like this, always remember to be wearing your seatbelt and to have children in proper child seats. These very basic safety measures can increase your chances of surviving an accident by up to 50 percent. If you have airbags, your chances of survival in a front moving collision go up 60 percent or more.

If you’re involved in a car wreck involving a negligent driver, consider contacting a Dallas attorney or a Frisco car accident lawyer about the matter. If they can help you by filing a lawsuit or damages, you may end up winning enough compensation to pay for your injuries, your loss of property and anything else that you suffered due to the wreck.
