Moped Driver Killed Head-On

This morning just before 7 am, a head-on-collision between a Ford Taurus and a moped ended in one woman’s death. The accident occurred in Denton north of Long Road on East Sherman Drive. The driver of the Ford Taurus lost control and the vehicle come towards oncoming traffic. The moped driver was hit head-on, and although she was wearing a helmet, she was killed.

Police are still investigating what caused the accident. There was no evidence at the scene to suggest that the other driver was under the influence.  We’ll keep you updated as the police uncover more details about the crash.
