Mobile App Reads Text Messages Aloud
Texting and driving is considered by many to be more dangerous than drunk driving. Texas residents are stepping up and pledging to not text and drive on Facebook – and receiving a free gift for doing so! But reminders of what not to do don’t always work. And that’s where DrifeSafe.ly comes in.
Mashable, a news source for social media and technology, recently recognized DriveSafe.ly with an award for “Best Mobile App.” You can read more about the Mashable Awards here.
So what does DriveSafe.ly do?
According to its website:
DriveSafe.ly™ is a mobile application that reads text (SMS) messages and emails aloud in real time and automatically responds without drivers touching the mobile phone.
This allows you to stay focused on the road and driving safely. According to the site – which tracks the number of times the DriveSafe.ly reads an incoming message – over “Potential Texting While Driving Incidents” have been prevented with the app.
You can currently download DriveSafe.ly to your Android Smart phone or Blackberry. The iPhone version is expected to be released soon.
Mashable endorsement has become a form of security stamp in the emerging media field. If they find an application or website useful, it means their expert staff has investigated it and found it useful for Mashable readers. The Dallas car wreck attorneys at Jeff Rasansky’s office are inclined to trust them that DriveSafe.ly is worth a second look.
