Last night near midnight in Dallas, a drunk driver broke a family apart when his speeding pick-up truck crashed into a young family’s PT cruiser. Matthew Wayne Moore, 26, had sped through a red light and hit the PT Cruiser so hard that the car spun out of control. The vehicle hit a fire hydrant and a wooden utility pole.
In PT Cruiser was 25-year-old driver Jeremy Price, passenger Kellilynne Seaman and a 7-month-old baby boy who was in a car seat in the back. Price died of his injuries at Parkland Hospital and Seaman was in critical condition after she sustained a serious head injury. Miraculously, the baby was uninjured and was taken to Children’s Medical Center in good condition.
Moore, despite failing field sobriety tests, insisted that he had only had one beer. He has since been arrested for intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
Update: It was previously reported by us that police stated he was more worried about his pet dog following the wreck than the victims, this was incorrect. Witnesses at the scene were the source of this statement. We apologize for any harm or inconvenience this may have caused.

Your article is inaccurate.
The police did NOT report that the suspect was most worried about his dog, this was the witness, who would have to be clairvoyant to know what he was most worried about. The suspect had been attempting to rush his dog to an emergency vet.
Before you further destroy a man’s life simply to further your own SEO, you should at least check your sources.
Another discrepancy.
The accident occurred in Dallas, not in Mesquite. Jeremy Price is from Mesquite.
Thank you for your comments and concern, Ronnie. We will be sure to update the article accordingly and apologize for any harm or inconvenience caused to any and all involved.
TO RONNIE THE STATEMENT THAT MATTHEW MOORE WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT HIS DOG WAS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I AM THE MOTHER IN LAW OF KELLILYNNE AND THE GRANDMOTHER OF HER SON JEREMIUH THAT SURVIVED AND THE UNBORN SON THAT SHE LOST DUE TO THE ACCIDENT. THE WITNESSES WHERE THERE FROM THE POINT OF IMPACT THRU THE ENTIRE ACCIDENT AND YES THEY REPORTED HIS STATEMENTS WORD FOR WORD ABOUT HIS CONCERN FOR HIS DOG AND THE DISREGARD FOR THE LIVES HE INTERRUPTED. YOU GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU SPEAK ON AN ISSUE YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT
Kyla, I am very sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you and your family.
Please let me clarify. The initial version of this story claimed that the police report stated his concern for the dog and lack of concern for the individuals. However, the police report made no mention of the dog or Matthew’s concern for the dog or even lack of concern for the other individuals, only the witness made this statement. I know Matthew better than anyone on this planet, and given a choice, Matthew would not hesitate to trade his life for the others involved in the accident.
My only intention here is to protect my loved ones as much as I can in whatever way that I can, which I am sure you can understand and relate. Mine and Matthew’s families have only the deepest sympathy and would welcome the opportunity to help you guys in any way that we can.
Also, thank you Jeff, for your retraction and correction. I greatly appreciate it.
Kyla I am very sadden to hear about this accident. I have been following the story recently and was very touched that not only did Kellilynne lose her unborn baby and friend, but she is now unable to care for Jeremiuh (or even interact with him) again. I can’t imagine what your families are going through and this is even heartbreaking for me (a stranger). I just want to say that regardless of if he was more worried about the dog or not… the point is he was a DRUNK DRIVER; So that statement that he would trade his life for anyone else’s life seems a little contradictory.
This guy should be and remain in jail. I’ve heard many times how he can’t believe he got away with it. He was drunk and killed and innocent person. He deserves life in prison.
He should remain in jail for the rest of his life and it should be known in prison that he was a drunk driving unborn baby killer.
