A sedan driven by a suspected drunk driver hit a motorcyclist head-on around 1 am Thursday morning. The accident occurred along the divided six-lane Robert B Collum Boulevard just north of the DART railway tracks near Fair Park. A white sedan started driving south in the northbound lanes around 1 am. A motorcyclist heading north was rounding the road’s curve and slammed into the sedan head on.
The North Texas Toll Authority is lowering “Wrong Way” signs on the Dallas North Tollway in an attempt to prevent head on collisions.
The Dallas Sheriff’s department is planning to seize motorcycles from stunt riders when, and if, they are found. Of course, that will only keep them from doing the same thing “on that motorcycle.”
Zacharie Perez may be the Dallas North Tollway’s luckiest motorcyclist. What could have been a fatal Dallas car accident March 17 is now the source of news-worthy footage. The NTTA released video of the accident. It was picked up by several news sources and versions (like the below) are now popping up on YouTube.
